our backyard visitor

taken through the screened window on the porch,
the photos are a bit fuzzy.
look who stopped by our connecticut backyard!
he's been here the last few mornings.
i think he's a youngster,
there's no white tip at the end of his tail.

i have always loved red foxes.
isn't he cute and handsome at the same time?

  2. Foxes have had a bit of bad press here in the UK at the moment but of course people feed them and encourage them but they are wild animals after all. I too have a soft spot for them, they are lovely to watch when cubs are playing together.

  8. So amazing to see such awesome wildlife here in our little town. The sight of a young kit would make my day, or a fawn, or a duckling. Guess I am a softy for animal babies. Hope it graced your morning today.

  11. I love foxes too...I've seen one in my yard once but not lately. Frankly, I'd love for a family of fox to move in and take care of my rabbit problem.
